Downriver Chaser – “Chaser”
Along with many of the puppy purchasers, and the airport dog handlers, I was so happy with the pups that were born in 2003 that I decided to repeat the litter. Chase was brought to me with this repeat litter, and I couldn’t be happier with this great little dog! She was born on Canada Day: July 1, 2005.
After several sets of personality assessments, Chaser is the pup that was chosen to stay and try out for the Airport Bird Dog program. I was looking for a dog that showed confidence, an outgoing personality, and biddability. Chaser showed signs of having all of these qualities, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. She has exceeded all expectations! She loves to work, wants to please her handlers, and doesn’t give up if things get difficult.
In addition to showing great potential working birds, Chaser has incredible stock sense and is an absolute pleasure to work on sheep. Watch for Chaser on the trial fields!!
Her parents are:
Dam: Del’mar Sprite CABC 134744, owned, loved, and handled by Lynn Leach. Sprite is a ‘Wisp’ granddaughter, and her dad is the famous Del’mar Jim, an imported, incredible sheep and cow dog.
Sire: Caldonian Mac CABC 1300, owned, loved, and handled by Lee Lumb. Mac’s sire is Stuart Davidson’s “Whiterose Kep” ISDS 228380, 1999 Scottish National Champion & his dam is “Meg” ISDS 234865 (bred by G. Denman in Scotland).
Chaser is now retired and living in Kamloops, BC as a spoiled house dog! She loves her new home!
