HTCH Del’Mar Sprite HTD 3 HRD 3 ASDsd OSDc AKC HXsd
Sprite came to us from Del’Mar Kennel in Kamloops BC. She is daughter of Dave Ellison’s Jim, Grand-daughter of world famous, international champion Wisp.
Sprite was an easy dog to train, kind to her stock, and a tremendous help to me throughout the years. She has traveled all over with me competing, backing up beginner dogs, and working the stock pens. She is an incredible dog!
Sprite has completed her HTCH (Herding Trial Champion) in AHBA, and needs only one leg on cattle to earn her ASCA Wtch (Working Trial Champion). She is also competing at the Open level in BCSDA Sheep and Cattle Trials. Her first Open SDT was in Quesnel in 2004, where she placed 3rd!
She has brought home several High in Trial (HIT) trophies and ribbons. I love working with her.
Sprite has given us three beautiful litters of pups. In 2003, we specifically bred a litter for a dog to work in the Vancouver International Airport. Traveller was chosen from the litter, and is working out incredibly. We decided to repeat the litter, and hopefully Trav’s sister will soon be working with him at YVR.
Sprite has been a movie star on top of her daily farm chores! “The Magician’s House” has a border collie which speaks with the children. Sprite was one of three dogs used for that movie. She also worked in “The Linda McCartney Story” and several commercials made for television.
